The Godfather
Movie Review :
It was not a creation. Instead, it was a tale, that gives someone's imaginations new wings. I never even realized when and how, as I went through it, I imagined myself to be Don Vito Corleone. I had already watched the movie by then and I had in no time developed or at least tried that distinctive voice of Marlon Brando. I was now reading the book as Don Corleone, in his voice, in his demeanour. It was strange the first book that was making an impression on me kind of glorified mafia.
The writer Mario Puzo has framed the character. The ideals and ethics of this character, that are same even for his enemies made him much likeable. The Godfather was god to many and a mobster to others. But, whatever he was, he can't be ignored due to his character.
His virtues for his family, keeping them close knit made him a distinct character. Young ones are fascinated with guns but Don Vito Corleone had a different style to do everything. That character proved that you don’t have to shout to put forward your point. Even a calm voice places a recognizable impact.
Godfather depicted the importance of winning hearts of people, helping them and in return, they would stick to you for whole life, no matter what the situation is. These are the people that would stand by you at the darkest or brightest extremes of life.
The crests and troughs of life been portrayed so beautifully, that one would agree on the fact that life has not to be same all the time. A person has to adjust into the circumstances and different instances, with Godfather exudes absolute power also talks of compromi
