Malorie Hayes advises two young children that, while they go downstream in row boat and instructs them to carry their blindfolds, otherwise they may die. Jessica meets her pregnant sister, Malorie. A news report on TV tells about mass suicides that are committed in Romania and are widely spreading over Europe.
Jessica goes with Malorie for routine checkup to the doctor. When they leave hospital, Malorie sees a woman who is bashing her head over panel of glass, while others are panicked. Jessica losts her control on car, and it overturns. Malorie then sees her walking in front of a truck.
A woman tells Malorie to come to their house safely, but her husband, Douglas disagrees. The woman starts to talk with her dead mother, and strikes in burning car. Malorie is saved by trespasser Tom. Charlie, a survivor seems to predict of what's happening around. And tells that demon entities are on their way to invade Earth.
Tom insists them to go out blindfolded and otherwise keep all windows and doors closed. Greg ties himself to a chair, while keeping an eye on surveillance cameras, but kills himself. As food supplies are to an end, they decide to go to supermarket. Till then, a new pregnant survivor Olympia has arrived. The group find a little bit crazy co-worker of Charlie, who tries to infect others, but Charlie bursts in to save others.
Malorie and Olympia give birth to boy and girl. Gary starts a series of events which at the end lead Olympia to jump out of the window. Malorie saves both the babies. Cheryl stabs her own neck, Douglas makes an unsuccessful attempt to kill Gary, but Gary kills Douglas in return. Malorie tries to save newborns, Tom recovers and kills Gary.
Five years later, Tom and Malorie are together with kids named "Boy" and "Girl". They decide to go to the community in the forest, but find unblindfoldeds in their way. Tom distracts them and Malorie tries to escape. Tom opens his eyes to shoot them and shoots himself at the end.
At the end they reach the community and find Rick, and fetel specialist Dr. Lapham. She frees the birds they carried and names the children Tom and Olympia.
