Vertical coordination aims at connecting tasks at higher level and lower level of the organisation .Effective vertical coordination is based on -
1.Level of formalisation is the extent to which institutional policies ,job descriptions ,offcial documents ,rules on which exact decisions are taken.
2.Centralisation and decentralisation ,centralisation implies concentration of power with upper levels .
3.Hierarchial structure - if a comapny has well established hierarchy then there is an effective vertical coordination.
4.Delegation of authority - it promotes vertical coordination as it transmits responsibilty and authority across various levels
