Alcatel-Lucent was formed when Alcatel merged with Lucent Technologies on December 1, 2006.On January 14, 2016, Alcatel-Lucent started operating as part of the Nokia Group. The sale to Nokia was finalized in November and the company was merged into Nokia Networks .
