Listening is an important aid to communication. Listening does not mean just hearing but understanding in the mind. Anybody can hear but only a few can listen. Listening is a conscious, positive act requiring will power. Richard Hubbell, a researcher, informs us that 98 percent of what a man learns in his lifetime is learned through eyes and ears. A skill involving conscious in following what is spoken, in recognizing the main points and making sure that they are understood.
