1.Determination of objectives-

Without objectives the firm cannot organise itself ,identifying primary objectives is important because the structure of an organisation is built on the basis of the objective .It helps firm in ascertaining why the proposed structure of the organisation is to set up .

2.Enumeration of organisational objectives-

The total work in an organisation is to be identified and divided into important activities.

This will remove ambiguity and workers will learn about their respective work .

3.Classification of activities -

It is also known as division of work as per the purposes and functions to the right people.

4 Assigning of duties to competent and different subordinates so that certain work is performed.

5.Delegation of authority ,that helps in smooth functioning as each individual gets clarity about whom he should he report to.
