WHAT ARE OUTSTANDING EXPENSES?

Answer

Time lag in payment of expenses like wages, salaries or other overheads gives rise to a Current Liability i.e. outstanding expenses. A company which pays all expenses immediately in cash will have no outstanding expenses whereas a company which pays rent after, say, two months would have a current liability of expenses outstanding equal to two month’s rent.
