Answer 7. The comparison between two quantities of the same unit is called a ratio. It shows how many times one quantity is bigger or smaller than the other.
For example - the age of Mohan is 5 years and age of Sohan is 10 years then we can say that the age of Sohan is two times the age of Mohan , whereas age of Mohan is half the age of Sohan or we can say that the ratio of the age of Mohan and Sohan is 5 :10 or 1:2 . The ratio of a and b is written as a:b .
