Answer 30. DATA PROCESSING : It is the termed used to describe the series of actions taken to provide useful information from data . Data is the termed used to describ basic facts regarding an organisation activities which are collected and input to a system. These facts are required to produce useful output or information . This process of getting useful output or information is called as reporting system. It is the execution of systematic sequence of operation performed upon data to transform it in information.

MIS VS DATA PROCESSING :

 The data processing functions are data collection manipulation and storage as used to report and analyse business activity. Data processing system is oriented to processing transaction of day to day operation.

     The MIS that functions properly proceeded and analyse data to provide, in particular planning and control information that support the decision baking role of management. A MIS perform substantial function those of data processing function.

The transaction include sale, shipping an inventory order and payrol data.For most of these transaction routine processor can be established and carried out repetitively to do the processing requirements . The processor become part of the data processing system.

    MIS involve the man, machine and system that provide information for manager to use as the perform their managerial function of planning , organisation , staffing , directing and controlling such a system support basic transaction processing as thus the data processing system. It also provide information about the past , present and future as each relates to operation within the organisation and within the environment.
