Wi-Fi 6: is it really that much faster?

Everywhere you go, you’re likely to hear the term “Wi-fi”. We have to accept that when we visit a coffee shop, library or any other place, initially we always ask for Wi-Fi password. We use Wi-Fi all the time, but there is many people around you who don’t really know what it is or other think that Wi-Fi is just another team for the internet, but it is not true.

Wi-Fi have total six version, Wi-Fi 1 (IEEE 802.11b) with maximum Link rate of 1 to 11 Mbit/s, introduced in 1999 and frequency of 2.4 GHz, Wi-Fi 2 (IEEE 802.11a) with maximum link rate of 1.5 to 54 Mbit/s, introduce in 1999 and have a frequency of 5 GHz, Wi-Fi 3 (IEEE 802.11g) maximum link rate 3 to 54 Mbit/s, introduced in 2003 and having frequency of 2.4 GHz, Wi-Fi 4 (IEEE 802.11n) maximum link rate of 72 to 600 Mbit/s, introduced in 2009 and frequency of 2.4/5 GHz, Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac) maximum link rate 433 to 6933 Mbit/s, introduced in 2014 and having frequency of 5GHz and the most recent one is Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) with maximum link rate 600 to 9608 Mbit/s and introduced in 2019 and having frequency of 2.4/5 GHz , 1-6 GHz ISM.

Wi-Fi 6 is a brand new and fast version of Wi-Fi that starting hitting the market in 2019. The Wi-Fi 6 supports some smart phones like iPhone 11 and the Samsung Galaxy S10. It is proof that the top transfer speeds is 30% faster than previous generation, Wi-Fi 5 speeds. The test was done in NetGear Nighthawk AX12, which promises speed of up to 1.2 Gbps on the 5GHz band but there is lot of problem which is faced by speed like where the test was happen, the internet speed aren’t fast. Then another test were held to measure the transfer speeds, the ability to move the file with the NetGear Nighthawk and the routers offer multi-gig Ethernet WAN ports that support speeds as high as 2.5, 5 or even 10 Gbps. In another test, the Mac Books transmit data to the router over those Ethernet connections, with the NetGear Nighthawk, and speeds clocked in at 1,320Mbps, or 1.32 Gbps. And this claim that the different routers or in different environment with less interference we might see speeds as high as 1.4 or 1.5 Gbps.
