What Did The Prime Minister Say

On Tuesday at 8 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's went on television for addressing fifth time to the nation following coronavirus outbreak. In which, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced some special economic package. Modi also announced a RS 20 lakh crore or 10%of India's GDP, economic package to empower various section of the society like farmers, honest taxpayers, laborers, MSMEs, and the cottage industry. "20 lakh crore economic package, which is 10% of India's GDP has been planned for the Aatma Nirbhar Abhiyaan."

He also told that the country should view the COVID-19 crisis as an opportunity to become self-dependent nation. "Not even a single PPE kit was manufactured in India. Today, India prepared 2 lakh N95 masks and PPE kits on regular basis. This shows our capability to become self-dependent" said PM Narendra Modi.

PM Modi urged the countryman to buy local product and be vocal about it. "Local supplier have met our needs in this crisis. Local should neends in the crisis. Local should be our 'Jeevan Mantra' from now on." PM Modi also magnified the 5 Pillars for a self-reliant nation. "The five pillars India will stand on to become a self-reliant nation are: Economy, Infrastructure, Tech Drive System, Vibrant Demography and Demand."

The PM added that guidelines related to the Fourth phase of lockdown will be announced before May 18. He however, hinted that lockdown 4.0 will be 'totally new, totally different'. "Lockdown 4.0 will come with a new set of rules. The entire plan will be announced before 18 May" said PM Narendra Modi.

He also highlight that social distancing remains the "biggest weapon" against the virus till vaccine is found and suggested that the lockdown may not be lifted entirely.
