It takes a good amount of effort to achieve it.   1. Organized - Avoid keeping stacks of file and heaps of paper at your workstation. Throw what all you don’t need. Put important documents in folders. Keep the files in their respective drawers with labels on top of each file. It saves time which goes on unnecessary searching.

  2.   Don’t misuse time - Do not kill time by loitering or gossiping around. Concentrate on your work and finish assignments on time. Remember your organization is not paying you for playing games on computer or peeping into other’s cubicles. First complete your work and then do whatever you feel like doing. Don’t wait till the last moment.

  3.  Be Focussed - One needs to be focused for effective time management.

  4.   Develop the habit of using planners, organizers, table top calendars for better time management. Set reminders on phones or your personal computers.

In turn, this can negatively impact our cognitive capacities, productivity, and health. By maintaining a regular wake up time, Marquet says, “I can think clearly, which means I can meet deadlines and get more stuff done overall.” Bottom line? Committing to a consistent sleep cycle is a great way to optimize your efficiency and manage your time.


The human brain can only focus for 90 to 120 minutes at a time before it needs a break. Make sure to schedule in breaks throughout your day in between tasks. It will help you get more done in the long run. Take a break to refill your water bottle, grab some lunch, or just away from your desk for a few minutes. Let your brain unwind from the last thing you did, and get ready to focus on the next task at hand.
