Future was something that was unheard of but now with the evolution of technology it seems as though we are living in the future and reminiscing the past . Technology has now become the new norm amongst people. In this rising age where no one has enough time to take a break, we constantly survive by using varying modes of technology.

Today we count technology as one of the essentials needed to control one’s day to day lives. It starts from your morning alarm to morning walk to evening dinner to late night plans, everything is controlled via technology. Some common examples include usage of mobile phones which basically does the job of 50 appliances working together like talking to people, listening to music/radio or recording your audio, writing in notepad, using calendar, watching television shows at any time and many more.

Now, it was not just mobile phones which revolutionized technology but a variety of things were involved. Starting with everything going digital, every single person on the planet well at least majority was connected to each other digitally and their data stored in a cloud/server as assets. Now the question arises that is this safe for the people, is their privacy protected or are they vulnerable and to what level does are we affected?

Though technology has changed the face of earth, paving path for industrialization and developing world economy, but while developing we forgot how dangerous technology can be if left untamed. These days there are multiple examples which portray the misuse of technology. Cyber-bulling and cyber-crimes have constituently increased; unethical hacking is observed, global warming rates have significantly increased, data is being sold on the dark-web and privacy has now become a thing of past, everything is monitored. If we come to specific things, people have now distanced themselves from the world, while technology was made to make things easier, we might have depreciated it a lot more. People tend to be on their phones all the time forgetting that there exists a world outside and in the process of making what they want they have destroyed what remains of Mother Nature.

As of June 2019 there are now over 4.4 billion internet users and there is an 83% increase in just five years! Everyday more and more data pores in from these users and from that the amount of information shared is phenomenal.

In terms of health and infrastructure technology has done wonders.it has increased life expectancy and also reduced the risk of catching diseases or dying. Technology,

When merged with science has proved to be beneficial for humans and has helped in scientific development by making high-tech machines and medicines.it has proved to be a vital part of our life after all.

Though the advent of technology has been a pioneer in the development of the world, it all has its bad side to think about.

As it is rightly said “Every coin has two sides” same can be said with technology it is a boon for many and a curse for numerous people out there.

At last I would like to quote Roy Amara “We tend to overestimate the effect of technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run”.
