Stop Child Labour! By:- Reetika

Stop child labour, Oh dear please fear Stop it! It's wrong, a child is meant to learn not to earn and bla bla bla...... That how we react but the fact is no one bothers my dear friends, no one bothers what's happening with those little ones. Certainly not. Otherwise our country wouldn't have been highlighted among top countries having child labour and that's 'a pity crying shame' . We usually criticise child labour but being a responsible citizen of this country, we simply do nothing to stop this. Let me give you a classic example of a boy ne 'chotu', I think we must have heard this name many times and we also know who he is? But the question is, do we really care about them? Do we step forward to them? I think no, a big no. What a pity thing it is that though child labour is banned in our country but still very common.

According to a new report by World Bank Group and Unicef ' Ending Extreme Poverty: A focus on children ' , India is home to over 30% almost 385 millions, children are almost more than twice aa likely as adults to live in extreme poverty, ' the highest in South Asia' which simply leads to child labour. But my motive of expressing my vires regarding this topic is not to give or just inform you about only such kinds of data but being the future of this country I want to ask just one question to all of you that why can't we do anything for them? Why can't we help them to build a new and better world? Why? Well, I am not blaming the politicians or their parents or their background or people around them for their conditions because doing so is playing the victim and this world has far too many people playing victim when they could be sharing their brilliance and making a profound difference.
Mother Teresa said it so much better than I ever could , " If each of us would only sweep our own doorstep, the whole world would be clean ". Blaming others is excusing yourself and telling yourself that you- as an army of one cannot have an impact is just giving away your power so start small or go big but atleast do somthing because as yoi exercise your power to choose, guess what? Your power goes. There are so many helplines and NGOs who work for those children so just take a small step, just inform them so to sum up I just want to say taht don't ask children to take a tool instead send them to school.

Mark my word!!!
