On Tuesday, North India was the warmest region of the world. Churu in Rajasthan hit 50 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Delhi’s Safdarjung, touched 46.0 degrees Celsius. A higher temperature than this was last recorded in 29 May 1998, touched 46.5 degrees Celsius. Palam was even hotter at 47.6, it was highest since May 2010. According to the record for Palam for the month is 48.4 degree Celsius, recorded on 26 May 1998. And we know that temperature is rising and we all look forward to longer and lazier days of summer. Here are some healthy tips for summer
First and the most important is Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. Staying hydrated is very important during summer as it ensures that your body keeps functioning normally. As the heat goes up, it result in excess of sweat, which reduce the energy level. During this situation try to drink water by adding some minerals like watermelon, lemon, kiwi or making lemonades at home.
Take cold water showers, this is one of the best ways to cool down. It help to make feel refreshed. Also try to washing your feet and face with cool water during work. Or when you was busy with your own office work or school work the best way to avoid sweat is to wipe yourself with wet towels.
Switch off the lights, too much of electric bulb and light in the room result rise the temperature. So switch off as many light as you can and use only the one you require. Keep the curtains close to avoid the harsh rays into the house. Eat only seasonal fruits and vegetables like lauki, cucumber, ivy gourd, mango, watermelon etc and avoid meat, eggs and other because it help to generate heat.
Wear loose clothes so that there is good air circulation. As we know that physical activity is essential for good health but during summer make sure that you don’t over exert yourself. You need your energy level to keep active. And remember to stay hydrated.
