Sonakshi Sinha Responds To Cheating Allegations By An Event Organiser From UP

A few months ago, Sonakshi Sinha was accused of fraud by a UP based event planner, Pramod Sharma. The complainant accused the actress of not turning up for an event despite being paid the full amount, which led him to suffer losses.

Sonakshi Sinha recently made headlines after a cheating case was filed against her by an event organiser. He alleged that Sonakshi failed to show up at an event in Delhi despite accepting a booking amount of Rs 24 lakh.

The actress took to Twitter to address the issue. "An event organiser who couldn't live up to his commitment obviously thinks he can make a fast buck by maligning my crystal clear image in the press. There is full cooperation with the authorities from my end for the investigation to be conducted. Would request the media not to fan these bizarre claims of an unscrupulous man," the actress tweeted.

Sonakshi issued the statement after a team of officers of the Uttar Pradesh Police reached her residence in Mumbai to look into the case.

Now, the event organiser Pramod Sharma has given a statement to ANI, defending himself. He said, "Sonakshi is calling me a liar and saying that I didn't pay her but I've proof that she received money. She is trying to suppress the case using her money power and her father's political influence."

On the work front, Sonakshi is currently waiting for the release of Shilpi Dasgupta's Khandaani Shafakhana, in which she will be seen as a young girl who inherits s sex clinic after her uncle dies. The film, which marks the acting debut of rapper Badshah, also features Varun Sharma in a pivotal role. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 2.

However, Sonakshi’s team sent out a statement clarifying that the other party didn’t make an advance payment as per the contract; and also failed to provide her with other pre-requisites even after repeated reminders. .

As per latest reports, the UP police is now looking for Sonakshi and sought Mumbai police’s help in locating her. However, they didn’t find her when they went to her residence. Sonakshi issued an official statement on her Twitter handle dissing Sharma’s claims, saying it’s just a way of maligning her reputation.
