During the time of Coronavirus pandemic all of us locked up at home with offices, business and educational institutes shutting down. Adult where Impact by it as well as kids are also having tough time staying at home foe many days. According to the data released by UNICEF(The United Nations Children’s Fund), More than 1.5 billion children and young people are affected by closing of schools in 188 countries. Now schools are arranging online classes for children. But this whole situation make them irritable, insecure, stressed out and more. Now there is some point through which you can help to take care of their mental health too.
Make a proper routine
As we all know that when the kid go to school or a person go to offices or in any working place, they have their own fixed schedule for everything from wake up to dozing off at night. So, during this lockdown period, fix a proper schedule for every one from kids to ourselves. Like schedule proper study hours, working hours, mealtimes and more. It help to enhance the decision-making skills.
Wake up early
Wake up early in the morning. As the saying goes, “early to bed and early to rise, makes a man, healthy wealthy and wise”. So, follow a daily routine and set a time to sleep at night and when to wake up. Waking up early is not just healthy for your body but is also beneficial in improving mental health.
Limit the screen time
Screen time includes watching television, use phone, laptops etc. As we all know during the time of lockdown all the kids as well as adult are stick to TVs and mobiles for long period of time as compared to earlier. It is important to fix the time to use TVs and mobiles. It may cause poor eye sight. Instead of watching TVs or mobiles you have to spend some time with your family and do different-different activities or play indoor games etc. these all activities help in Motor development.
Relax
As we known that all the offices, schools etc. shutting down and you have to do work from home for office or schools and you feel stress. At that time you have to relax your mind and body. When felling stresses, take a nap or breathe deep. Being continuously involved in work can be stressful. So, remember to take a break and connect with ‘yourself’. In this way, you will stay calm and make yourself feel better.
