Public Relations

Public Relations means exactly what the words suggest relations with the public. Human beings can never live in isolation, we need someone to talk, and share our views. In this way, we practice public relations from just after we take birth. In other words, it is the practice of doing the right thing of performance and communicating the substance of that very performance. The distinctive thing about public relations is that it is deliberate.

We saw the meaning of Public Relations but why we need this, let’s have a look in that:

Investing in Public Relations will help the organization to achieve its objective effectively and smoothly. Public Relations is not creating a good image for a bad team.

Since false image cannot be sustained for a long time. Though the organization's product or services are good it needs an effective Public Relations campaign for attracting, motivating the public to the product or service or towards the purpose of the program. It is not only the involvement of the public but also resulting in a better image.

Purpose of Public Relations

Public Relations is not merely publicity, for publicity is a one-way process by which an individual or an institution systematically distributes information. Public relation is a two-way communicating process in which information is given to the public, and the opinion and the ideas of the public are obtained. It is here that public relations prove its superiority to mere publicity and advertising. Public relations no doubt use publicity but the main objective is to reach the mind of the outside public and establish mutual understanding.
