         Presentations are a part and parcel of professional as well educational life. Presentations tests our confidence, vocabulary and the command over the topic of presentation. It is therefore very important to give the best shot at presentations. Here is a list of a few points to make sure you perform your best.


 

1. Ensure that you have gone through the contents of each slide included the presentation. Find ways to explain them in an interesting and interactive manner. 


2. Insert images, flowcharts, graphs, bullet points and interrogative questions in few slides to invoke a feeling of interest and curiosity among the audience.


3. Be thoroughly prepared with your content so that you will be able to answer any query regarding the presentation.


4. A presentation reflects your grip over soft skills and professional ethics. Make sure your gestures, eye contact and body posture abides by the corporate ethics.


5. Focus to meet the audience's requirements and make the concept clear for them.


6. Remember the proverb, "first impression is the last impression". So, your presentation will be judged according to the impact of how you begin it. The start must be welcoming as well as polite. Address your seniors, colleagues and the audience.


7. The presentation must be rich content-wise as well as short and crisp. Practicalities and time limits should also be paid heed to.


8. Your body language and composure will certainly help you establish a connect with your audience.


9. Pay attention to the pitch of your voice and vary it accordingly.


10. Sound enthusiastic and clear to create an emphasis. 


11. Practice as many times you can before the actual presentation.


12. At the end, conclude with a proper ending statement after giving a quick gist and motive of the presentation.


13. Your attire must be formal and modest.
