INTRODUCTION:
Mughal garden is situated at the back of Rashtrapati Bhawan, incorporated both Mughal and English landscaping style and feariyes a great variety of flowers. The garden is only open to public during the month if February and March, every year.
ARCHITECTURAL STYLE:
The main garden has two channels running north to south and two running at East to West dividing the garden into two square grids,also there are six lotus shaped fountain at the crossings of these channels.
Terrace garden- there are two longitudinal strips of gardens, at a higher level on each sides of the main garden. This did the southern and the northern boundaries, plants grown are the same as the main garden.
Long garden or the Purdha garden is located to the west if the main garden and runs along the each side of the central pavement.
Along the circular garden there are rooms for the offices of the horticulturist, a green house stores, nursery etc.
