LIFE OF A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT (CA) STUDENT!

     The story of a CA student starts from the day when someone decides to pursue CA and ends at the time when that person gets qualified as a CA. The course of the CA is much respected in our society, but it takes courage to be a CA Student. Every time when somebody clears CA in our known, we use to see that person with respect and proud and why not? The pain, sacrifice, dedication, hard work behind this course must get paid with this respect.

     Every time when someone asks the CA student to go for an outing or to go for a movie, they are busy with their studies or classes or an articleship. When their friends are enjoying, they have to study no matter what. When the family is celebrating Diwali, they have to prepare for a November exams. It seems like CA student don’t have social life but yes they have their own social life with their books.

SO LET’S BEGIN-

CA FOUNDATION

     CA Foundation, the entrance test which is not that hard and the best part of the life of a student. Once the student enroll in this course, they seems to be the happiest person who proudly says to everyone that they are pursuing Chartered Accountancy!

CA INTERMEDIATE

     As soon as someone clears the entrance level, the next challenge in their life is CA Intermediate. CA students usually spend 8 hours in the classes and the remaining time for the self-study. Often students seems to be frustrated during the classes because of the hectic schedule and they have to give a complete 8 months for the study no matter what day it is or what festival it is! But once, you cleared Intermediate and steps into the CA Final, it feels like nobody can stop you from becoming a Chartered Accountant.

CA FINAL

     As students comes to the final stage of the CA they think that this is the last step and finally they are going to become the CA but no, one has to enroll for the three years of the mandatory articleship training. Before starting CA Final studies, students get confident, that they will get full three years to prepare for the CA Final Exam and they can easily clear.

     But the truth is far beyond their expectations. Articleship training is the toughest part in the life of the CA student and they have to manage this training with the studies. They don’t even get time for the family functions whether they have wedding in their house or not they have to only study and study. They have to sacrifice all the things which they love. But once that person clears the exam in the first attempt, all the hardships, sacrifices gets paid. The moment ‘CA’ is added to the name, the cost of losing a college life pays off.

WHAT ELSE HAPPENS APART FROM STUDIES

     Once you are CA student, you don’t have real friends besides you who supports you, no, friends also became competitors. No one shares how much they studied, because of the fear that their so called friend do not get to know and they also not start to study the same thing. The students who never failed they also not clear the exams and get the title of failure which is very wrong. They have family and specially society pressure to clear the exam in the first attempt only. They also have fear that they will not remain behind from everyone else in this cat race.

Yes, this is how the life of a Chartered Accountant looks like!
