INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) with example.

HISTORY :  It is very radical idea when the proginetor of the term IoT K.V Nastor , he did not understand himself when he spoke this term that these things will suddenly be so big. In 1999 he said this while giving a presentation to Procter and Gambler Company that you people should use internet and RFIT. Everybody was very excited at that time. There was no wifi then. MSME was not possible then. There was no.smartphone. then suddenly it all came in the next ten years. And not only did it all come, but there were ways to connect them all. 

       So whatever that person said in 1999, suddenly in 2015 has turned into a revolution and now they are saying so that the takeoff space has arrived . And after five years this world will change completely. 2015 is the takeoff year for Internet of things. They are saying that it will happen.

      Now it seems strange to hear how things can be internet. Actually , this is the reality. So friends , what do you understand from the internet ? 

      Internet that we we use on our mobile phone or laptop it is but today that when the internet has reached so much. Many people have started using it now. So the internet has also expanded it's scope. Now the internet is not limited to our laptops, desktops and mobile phones . Rather , things where we could not even think that the internet cam run or not . Internet reached there. 

    Thinks, that our shoes , our watch , wrist bands and car engine etc all these things can also be connected to the internet ? Yes of course , it is the concept of IoT that more and more consumerable products should be connected with the internet through a small chip. So that whatever communication we can get from those devices where could we reach those information . So friends , today's we all are using a smartphone before we are using a simple mobile phone whose size was small in comparison today. When did our phone become smart , when the screen of phone become big and we all are start using internet on that phone. So phones have a better connectivity with internet then it become smartphone. So that's why the things that were connected to the internet become smart. A tv is called smart when we are able to use internet in it. 

MEANING : Internet of Things is made up of two words ;

     1. INTERNET :  It is a vast global network in which n numbers of devices are connected through a standard protocols.  It enables sending , receiving pr communicating of information , connectivity with remote servers , cloud base services and a analytics platforms (e.g think , speak ) .

    2. THINGS : It may be physical object , activity , idea, action and situation . It includes sensors and actuators.

INTERNET OF THINGS : IoT is network of physical objects or things connected with electronics , software and sensors and connectivity to enables it to achieve greater value and service by exchanging data with the operator or connected devices. Each things is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system . It is able to interoperate within the existing internet infrastructure.

      The term "IoT"  has come to describe a number of technologies and research discipline that enable the internet to reach out into the real world of physical objects. Things having identities and virtual personalities operating in smart spaces using intelligent interfaces to connect and communicate within social , environment and user contexts.

Example : A light bulb that can be switched on using a smart phone app is an IoT device , as is a motion sensor or a smart  thermostat in your office or a connected streetlight . An IoT device could be as fluffy as a child's toy or as serious as a driverless truck.

        WHY IoT IS IMPORTANT : 

  1. IoT helps people live and work smarter as well as gain complete control over their lives.

   2. It helps in business by informing them that how their systems really work to give you best results.

  3. IoT enables companies to automate processes and reduce labor costs.

  4. It allows a transparency in customer transaction.

       ADVANTAGES OF IoT :

   There is huge risk of leakage of confidential data , when sent over network with automation , the need of labor reduce drastically.
