A balanced and nutritious diet is imperative to sustain a healthy lifestyle. Urban lifestyles adopting to fast foods can prove unhealthy in the long run and can have various nutritional problems. Next comes Sleep, which is another significant factor that defines health. Having at least 8 hours of proper sleep is crucial for the body to function normally. Improper and irregular sleep patterns can affect physical and mental health to a great extent. It can lead to insomnia, depression, anxiety and other mental health problems as well. Then comes exercise, which is as vital as the air we breathe because without exercise the joints and muscles don’t get the proper movement they need to function normally. Exercising daily helps the body cells to get abundant amounts of oxygen and free movement. Exercise can also be a real stress buster and helps combat weight and physical problems. Then, coming to the ever changing and advancing technology, the application of modern devices we all have in our daily lives, affects our health more than we care to think about. Even though, technology facilitates our lifestyle, misuse of the same can lead to some serious health problems. For example, using mobiles or computers at night, or excessive use of the same, can lead to strain in the eyes and can cause vision problems. Using these devices late night can cause sleep disturbance and insomnia. Addiction to mobile phones has been discovered as a symptom of depression. Apart from these factors, recreation is also an important factor in our lifestyle, neglecting which we can have negative effects on our health. Recreation is related to leisure, a sub part of lifestyle. It is important as it helps us enjoy our life and ensure that the fun element never goes missing.

So, all in all, our lifestyle affects our health in innumerous ways. The key to a healthy living is a healthy lifestyle that helps us stay fit and fine. Stay happy, take proper care of yourself, exercise regularly, eat good food, socialize and create the most of this given life.
