INTRODUCTION TO THE CONCEPT OF SWARAJ:
Swaraj generally meant self-governance or self-rule, the term came into existence when it was synonymously used with HOME-RULE by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and later on by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as the father of the nation. The word gains its popularity as Gandhi referred to this concept for Indian independence from the colonial rule.
