The Food Corporation of India is an organisation created and run by the Government of India. It is a statutory body under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, formed by the enactment of Food Corporation Act by the Parliament of India. This organisation was established in India on 14 January 1965 by government of India .Situating its headquarters at New Delhi . 


At preset time FCI have open many opportunities for jobs at its 5 different zones with different qualifications and quality. 


The motive or formation of this organisation was to remunerate prices , to make good quality grain available at reasonable prices from farmers, to provide fair prices to farmers according to quality of crop . To maintain buffer stocks as measure of Food Security. To intervene in market for price stabilisation .


This organisation have its own special rules and regulations category for crop service. 


This organisation also see towards illegal migration of cropping and also work on quality of crop .
