EXTENSION OF SPECIES

Extinction of species
Our world and our country India is very rich in diversity of flora and  fauna . But due to human nature and change in climate and due to natural calamities these beautiful creatures are becoming extinct extremely.

Few of  the reason of their extinction are :

  • NATURAL EXTINCTION:

Some species disappears due to change in climatic conditions and some still survives by adapting the change in the environment this is a gradual continuous process and has occurred in geological past.those species which adapt themselves according to the change in the climate will survive and got their progeny and will be saved from the extension.

  • Mass extinctions:

Several species disappears due to catastrophes. The most exciting example of mass extinction is Disappearance of dinosaurs at the end of Cretaceous periods.

  • Anthropogenic  extinction

Due to human interference a lot of flora or fauna species are getting endangered or extinct. due to huge need of urbanisation and industrialisation the natural habitat of animals our loss and they're vulnerable to death. this resulting in species extinction. Few interesting points of extinction of species are:

  • tropical forest are losing 14,000 to 40,000 species per year that is at the rate of 2 to 5 species per hour.

  • near about 50% species may become extinct at the end of 24th century if this present scenario of extinction is not retardant.
