DO ALL OF US EXPERIENCE Deja vu? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Did you ever felt like experiencing something, some moment or someplace again while you are entirely new to that thing?  Else felt like you have the same conversation with someone before?  Then I must tell you to not take any stress that whether you are sick or not. This is something observed among 60-80% of peoples. It is an entirely different feeling which almost all of us go through.

And, this familiarity is generally known as “Déjà vu” , and it does not cause any physical threat to us, just we use to say is “I just had a Déjà vu”. So, the reason behind this familiarity must be known to us so that whenever again you feel this you would be having a understanding of the feeling.

Meaning of Déjà vu:

So, many people experience this in many different ways. So, researchers begin research on this as people were getting anxious behind the reason study by a research team at University of St. Andrew, UK found that Déjà vu only occurs to check our memories.

So, they primarily founded a method to trigger false memory. And they tell the participants few words all related to each other like bat, ball, fielding, and bowling and left a word matching with them. And when they asked the participants they strongly believed they heard “cricket” which was nothing but their false memory.

This sudden feeling of familiarity was nothing but Déjà vu which almost 70-80%of those people felt. And that feeling was due to the false memory. All were expecting those areas of brains which were sorting memory for example, Hippocampus but surprisingly it did not work. The frontal areas of brain are responsible for Déjà vu.

According to few of the studies:

Someone who experience Déjà vu is something which is done for memory check, and considered to be a healthy memory check.  Generally, we can see that people at young age experience it more likely. As age keeps on increasing this practice decreases. And on the second side, the few peoples who are not experiencing this practice are more likely to have a great memory.

Researchers are saying that no one is still sure that is Déjà vu actually good for us.
