Delicious food to have this monsoon



Monsoons are here!! Not only does the rainy season give a much needed relief from the sweltering heat ,it is also time to enjoy some monsoon special delicacies. Here is my list of some of the must have food items this monsoon:


-Masala tea/chai:


For anyone who is a tea lover the monsoon season is perfect to relish that piping hot cup of tea.


-Pakoda's:


Also known as fritters or bhajiya's, they can be of different types- onion,potato,green chilli and many more. Onion bhajiya's (or kanda bhaji) as they call it is arguably the favourite dish in the monsoon.


-Corn:


Nothing can be more satisfying than enjoying a hot corn(or bhutta) this monsoon.


-Samosa:


Hot, spicy and delicious. Another favourite in the rainy season.


-Vada Pav:


If you are a Mumbaikar ,chances are that you would rush to your nearest Vada Pav stall to grab a bite when the rain god's arrive.


-Soup:


A hot bowl of soup is the most satisfying food for a sore throat which may have resulted due to the constant downpour of rain. Not to mention that it is also the healthiest food that you could have in the monsoon.


-Khichdi


This one is for the absolute health conscious. Khichdi is filling, healthy and easy to prepare.
