Covid-19: The current status and The various approaches for its treatment



It's been more than four months that this deadly viral disease has become the reason for the global health crisis all over the world. The first case of a pneumonia with an unknown cause was detected in Wuhan, China and first reported to the WHO country Office in China on 31 December 2019. On January 30,2020 this outbreak was declared a Public Health Emergency of International concern. WHO, then announced a name for this coronavirus disease: COVID-19.


This coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 212 countries and territories around the world. The world wide death toll topped 284,102 with 4,198,407 confirmed cases and 1,500,679 patient have been recovered so far.


Various government and health care professionals around the world, are solely reliable on the medical researchers and the scientists to find the cure to this ailment. But now a days, many countries like Italy, China, Israel are claiming that they have developed the first COVID-19 vaccine.


According to report, Chinese scientists working in Beijing based Sinovac Biotech, have successfully developed the COVID-19 vaccine, PiCoVacc. This report which was published in the science magazine claimed that upon injecting this vaccine to a COVID-19 affected monkey, boosted up the money immune system producing antibodies against COVID-19. Researchers also observe that after treating the monkey with the vaccine, the virus hasn't reached to the lungs of infected monkey. But the other monkeys who were not given the treatment had develop pneumonia. However, scientists are find difficulty to get the volunteers for the testing the vaccine because of the decline in the number of case in China.


After China, Italy claims that their vaccine is working on human. The scientists from Rome's Lazzaro Spallanzani hospital, which was specialist to study the infectious disease, claim to develop the vaccine which neutralize the coronavirus in human cell. The chief executive of Takis, told to Italian news agency that the test was conducted on nice and it's body was creating antibodies after just one vaccine. They also suggested that human trials will be expected to take place at the end of the summer.


Talk about the cure and vaccine of COVID-19, Indian government have also developed Plasama Therapy or the use of hydroxychloroquine (the same drug used to treat malaria) to treat the COVID-19 patient government has started many initiative.
