Capgras syndrome: An unpopular psychotic disorder

Capgras Syndrome or commonly known as imposter syndrome is a unique psychotic disorder. It is quite unpopular because it is a rare disease and does not come into our focus as a common disorder in our day to day life. It is unique in such a way that the person having the Capgras syndrome starts to believe that someone they know has been replaced by an imposter. It is irrational but legitimate and it has been scientifically registered to be a clinical disorder. The episodes of this syndrome is a consequence of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, brain injury, schizophrenia and sometimes epilepsy.  After a significant amount of research, it is believed that Capgras syndrome is caused by some injury to the brain, like atrophy, lesions or cerebral dysfunction.
The dysfunctioning mostly has been registered in women but children are also greatly at risk to the syndrome. It forms a certain disconnectedness to the family members and that can result in disbelief and hence result in the breaking of marriages. The diseases that lead to Capgras syndrome is a combination of physical and cognitive changes in the brain and hence results in disbelief and the person's irrational fear of imposition.

There are no prescribed medicines for the diseases as of now but the drugs prescribed to other diseases that lead to the syndrome can be suggested. It is only a preventive measure but the only way until now.
