Botanical garden
Botanical Garden is a place where there is assemblage of living plants maintained for botanical teaching and for research purpose.
Earlier Botanical Gardens were started as physic garden for the training of medical students and for the study of medicinal plants earlier plants for grown in garden which were only of economic use.
In Indian history we have cultivation of medicinal plant and food since 4000 to 2000 BC. plants were also grown for ornamental purpose around the temple and palaces.

The important plants which are conserved here are : tulip, Japanese Cedar ,Redwood , sweet Gum, Japanese cherries, dawn Redwood, Apple, etc
This is the first Botanical Garden in topics it was founded in 1787 for some economic reasons but later on developed into a scientific institution
This garden has herbarium, central national herbarium.
