BENEFITS OF BAKING SODA: A THREAD.



Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate is widely used in baking. This is because it has leavening properties, meaning it causes the dough to rise by producing carbon dioxide. Bur a very few of us know the variety of other arrays that baking soda excels in. Apart from cooking, it is used in homemade chores as well. And let me make you aware of some of them via this article. 


1. MOUTHWASH.


Mouthwash is a great addition to a good oral hygiene routine. It eaches corner of your mouth and crevices of your teeth and gum and tongue that may be missed during brushing.


THE PROCEDURE: The recipe for baking soda is simple. Add a half tablespoon of baking soda to a half glass of warm water and then swish as usual. You're good to go. Goodbye, bad breath. 


2. DEODORANT.


Surprisingly human sweat is odorless. Sweat only gains an odor after it is broken down by bacterias. These bacterias convert the sweat into an acidic waste product that gives a sweat odor. Baking soda can eliminate the smell of sweat by making the odorless acidic. 


THE PROCEDURE: Try patting baking soda to your armpits and areas that sweat a lot and see the result yourself. 


3. RELIEVE ITCHY AND SUNBURNS.


Baking soda bath is often recommended to soothe itchy skin. These baths are especially effective at soothing itches from bug bites and bee sting. Additionally, baking soda may help soothe itching from sunburn. It seems more effective when combined with other ingredients like cornstarch and oatmeal.


THE PROCEDURE: For the more specific area you can create a paste with baking soda and bit of water droplets. Apply a thick layer of paste to the affected area.
