BASIC STUDY HABITS



I think this is really important because lots of smart people do themselves a disservice by not building up good habits. Always hear people say that another person is lucky beacuse they were born smart, but don't believe that's true. In universities the difference in grades simply comes down to who has the best study habits.


These steps will help you out in your study habits:


1. GENERAL OVERVIEW


Some general our habits essentially make us who we are so we have to choose them wisely. Things we are doing in our whole of the day becomes our routine. That's why it should not be surprised someone who studies and invest themselves in science everyday will become a scientist. The thing is habits take time and efforts. Studies show we have a limited amount of will power when we make too nmany choices in a day. We actually exhaust our will power and this is known as ego depletion.


 


2. PLANNING


We need to crave out time in our schedules and really pinpoint a concrete place for the habit. According to a study published in the European of Social psychology. Habits are best implemented alongside cues for example after dinner I'll study for 30 minutes. Habits grows at automaticity.


First few days of building a habbit are very important. A median number of days to form a habbit is 66 days.


 


3. MONITORING


In order to determine if a habit is changing for the better for the worse. You need to have an objective measurements that help us gauge our progress. We have to quantify the habit for example if we want to loose weight, we should be tracking the amount of calories and amount of exercise. I can say from my personal experience that once we perform some habit we can increase the number associated with the habit. For students who want to have a better study habit can consider the promodoro technique
