AMATEURISH BATTLE BETWEEN CHINA AND USA. WHOM SHOULD INDIA SUPPORT?

Two large nations, China and America, the world expects responsible behavior from these two nations as both are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. But still what's happening? Instead of fighting the virus together, both are fighting each other. Both want to hold each other responsible for the Coronavirus problem. Nation's news channels had even blamed China for developing Corona as a biological weapon against the Usa. Whereas, China is putting back accusations on America itself.

On the other hand, India, another large nation, which has so far been denied a permanent place in the UNSC, appears busier in being part of the solution. India has sent medicines to more than a hundred nations, and is committed for global well being.

In the long term scheme of things, China is creating mistrust and causing damage to its own reputation. If China had to choose to, it could have used this opportunity to showcase its compassionate side and reinstate trust to rise as a responsible global power. In the history of the world, we have also seen Western nation, beniffiting themselves from the misery and vulnerability of other nations. It may also be true that west is jealous of the rise of any non-western power. The meaning of nationalism in these nation is more about global dominance and global conquest.

On the other hand, in India, love for the nation is more about being able to preserve and secure. India has always been a land of peace and harmony. It is among the largest manufacturer of generic drugs and vaccines in the world and quite undoubtedly, the global community is expecting India to play a key role with Covid-19 vaccine as well. So, if Western powers do decide to do against China eventually, should it support China? a nation that is known for creating obstructions to prevent India from earning its rightful place of a permanent membership in UNSC.

India's ideological principals, and its geopolitical stand has always promoted neutrality. It does not like to provoke any nation first, but can react tough, if provoked. During this irresponsible and amateurish battle between the so-called global powers, who are also permanent members of UNSC, and many important global bodies, India is silently redefining what global responsibility actually means.
