10 QUESTIONS ANSWERED ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY

1. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE : Artificial Intelligence is defined as study of rational agent. A rational agent could be anything which makes decisions , like a person , firm , machine or software . It carries out an action with the best outcome. An AI system is composed of an agent and it's environment. An agent is anything that can be viewed as ,

       (i) Perceiving it's environment through Senors and

(i i) Acting upon that environment through actuators.

2. EXAMPLES OF AGENT : A software agent has keystrokes , file contents received network package which act as sensors and displays on the screen , file , sent network packets acting as actuators.

A human agent has eyes, ears and other organs which act as sensors and hands , legs , mouth and other body parts acting as actuators.

A Robotic agent has cameras and Infrated range finders which act as sensors and various motors acting as actuators.

3. AGENT : Architecture + Agent Program

Architecture is the machinery that the agent executes on , it is a device with sensors and actuators for example ; A robotic car , a camera etc.

Agent program is an implementation of a agent function.

4. TYPES OF AGENTS :

   1. Simple Reflex agents

    2. Model - based Reflex agents

    3. Goal - based agents

    4. Utility based agents .

5. APPLICATION OF AI INCLUDE NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING, GAMING, SPEECH RECOGNITION , VISION SYSTEMS, HEALTH CARE , AUTOMATIVE ETC.

6.  In AI , what is present in the planning graph ?

    A. Sequence of levels

    B. Literals

    C. Variables

    D. Heuristic estimates .

Sequence of levels presents in the planning graph (in AI) . Literals , variable and heuristic estimates are not present in planning graph (in AI) . So option A is correct.

7. In AI, a semantic network ,

      A. Is a graph - based method of knowledge representation where nodes represents concepts and arcs represents relations between concepts.

     B. Is a graph - based method of knowledge representation where nodes represents concepts .

    C. Represents an entity as a set of slots and associated rules.

    D. Is a subset of first order logic.

In AI , a semantic network is a graph based method of knowledge represents where nodes between concept and arcs represents relation between concepts. In other words , semantic network is a method of knowledge representation that uses graph so option A is correct.

8. In AI , an environment is uncertain if it is

     A. Not fully observable and not deterministic

     B. Not fully observable or not deterministic

     C. Fully observable but not deterministic

     D. Not fully observable but deterministic

So the right answer is B.

9. Give an explanation on the difference between strong AI and weak AI ?

Strong AI makes strong claims that computers can be made to think on a level equal to humans while weak AI simply predicts that some features that are resembling to human intelligence can be incorporated to computer to make it more useful tools.

10. Language model used in ISP is -

      A. Functional programming

      B. Logic programming

      C. Objects oriented programming

      D. All of the above.

Language model used in LISP is functional programming for more information on AI language . Option A is correct.

Thanking you...
