Shafqat Amanat Ali (born in 1965)is the son of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, making him the ninth generation of the old Patiala Gharana. His main influences in music come from his Mother, father and his uncle Ustad Fateh Ali Khan sahab as well as Roshanara Begum. Perhaps most well known as the ex-lead singer of popular Pakistan band Fuzon, Shafqat Amanat Ali belongs to the Patiala Gharana of musicians and began training in classical music at age of four.
Over the years, Shafqat has become a popular name in Bollywood music circles, having lent his voice to such popular songs as 'Mora Saiyaan', 'Yeh Honsla' and 'Tere Bina', and worked with renowned composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Salim-Sulaiman, Vishal-Shekhar and Clinton Cerejo among others.
