Amit Chaudhuri is an internationally recognized and award winning Indian English author and academic. He teaches Contemporary Literature at the University of East Anglia. He has been described as “…one of his generation\'s best writers” by the Guardian.
Amit Chaudhuri was born in Calcutta and was raised in Bombay. He has penned many novels, short stories, poems and critical essays in English. His works include A Strange and Sublime Address, Afternoon Raag, Freedom Song, The Immortals, A New World and Real Time: Stories and a Reminiscence.
His collection of poems titled St. Cyril Road and Other Poems is also very popular. His dissertation on D.H. Lawrence\'s poetry, D.H. Lawrence and Difference: Postcoloniality and the Poetry of the Present, is considered groundbreaking.
