MIDIval Punditz is an Indian fusion group formed by Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj. Their style revolves mostly around bhangra, electronica and north Indian classical music. Their songs feature traditional Indian instruments, such as the dhol, tumbi, sarangi, sitar and modern instruments such as the synthesizer and drum machine.
Their debut album was MIDIval Punditz which was released in 2002. Then they scored the soundtrack for the film, Lets Enjoy (2004), followed by MIDIval Times and MIDIval Punditz Remixed. They have gained international recognition working with renowned artists like Anoushka Shankar, Kailash Kher, Ustad Sultan Khan and Vishal Vaid.
