Srividya Natarajan, born in Chennai, lives in Canada and teaches English at King\'s University College and University of Western Ontario. She has written two books: Taking Charge of our Bodies and No Onions Nor Garlic. While at the University of Hyderabad she started taking a keen interest in caste politics which is a topic she has dealt with in her second. After her graduation she then went on to earn a PhD in English.
Srividya Natrajan worked as an editor at Katha Publishers for a year or so after which she was illustrating children`s books for names like Orient Longman, the Karaditales Company and Chatterbox. Her project included Tulika`s Under the Banyan series, which is now translated into six Indian languages.
Her book Taking Charge of Our Bodies, was co-authored with Veena Shatrugna and Gita Ramaswamy which deals with women and health issues. Many critics have applauded her novel and said that the book is genuinely funny.
