Saptarshi Basu Biography and latest books by Saptarshi Basu

Saptarshi Basu has authored a book called Love, Logic and the God’s Algorithm. Saptarshi is a gold medalist in Mechanical Engineering and has been in the IT industry for the last 7 years. During this span he has worked for top three IT companies in India.

However, Saptarshi loves writing and claims that writing has always been first love, his passion. His debut novel Love, Logic and the God’s Algorithm was been published recently. His second novel Don’t Die In Love that will be published by Vitasta Publishing along with Times group will be launched in September this year. Saptarshi started writing because he felt the urge to write and connect to his audience. He loves reading books by Amitava Ghosh and Khaled Hosseini.

Currently he works as a Project Manager in one of the leading IT MNC in Kolkata.

Apart from writing Saptarshi participates in lot of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programmes. He started taking a keen interest in such activities like visiting orphanages, spending time with children and working towards a greener world. Along with this he also loves playing football, cricket and the guitar.

Saptarshi grew up in a Bengali family listening to Gurudev’s songs and reading his books. His wife works as a manager at a government bank and his sister is a doctorate and works as a research consultant at an International NGO.

Love, Logic and the God’s Algorithm is a fiction based on college days and corporate lives. It asks the question which perhaps resonates in most of the people’s heart- How long does it take to clear your heart’s doubt. Love, Logic and the God’s Algorithm shows the fight of an ordinary middle class man and realizing his dream.

 Don’t Die In Love is a fiction which sends out a message – don’t fall, rise in love. Don’t die, live in love. The author says, “During my engineering days, a lot of painful events caused due to lost love disturbed me thoroughly. Fortunately I was not under its spell but after watching a lot of friends’ plight I decided to write on. Even today, when I flip through the new papers or even surf the internet and read about suicides and murders due to heart break it saddens me and so I decided to write on this.”
