Morag Joss is a Scottish author famous for her writings in the crime genre. Her works include Funeral Music, Fearful Symmetry, Fruitful Bodies, Half-Broken Things, Puccini\'s Ghosts, The Night Following, and Among the Missing. She was born in England and grew up in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. She attended St. Andrews where she completed a Masters degree in English. She went on to study music at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She started out as an English tutor, fashion designer, and proofreader. She also worked with the Marketing and PR department of Manchester City Art Gallery, as a CEO of the trading arm of Winchester School of Art, as a lecturer at Bournemouth University, and as a consultant for the National Trust and other organizations.
Joss began to write after meeting British crime writer, PD James. She has been a recipient of the Crime Writers’ Association Silver Dagger Award. She currently lives in Hampshire in England.
