Manorama Mathai is an Indian author who studied at Delhi and Oxford Universities. She has taught English at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in a pilot effort to teach English to scientists. She has also worked as Public Information Officer with UNICEF and several Non Governmental Organizations in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand as an editor and Development Communications Consultant.
Manorama started writing at the age of six. Her published works of fiction include Lilies That Fester, Mulligatawny Soup and An Unsuitable Woman. She has also contributed stories in anthologies, like In Other Words, More Short Stories from Bangkok and Beyond, Vox and the Sahitya Akadami journal. To add on, she has many written feature articles for newspapers and journals.
