Glenn Chandler is a Scottish writer and playwright. His books include Dead Sight, Savage Tide, The Sanctuary, and The Tribe. His non-fiction writings include Burning Poison, Killer and Taggart’s Glasgow. He was born in Edinburgh. He attended the Royal High School. He started his career in England where he worked for the BBC Television and Radio, Granada Television and STV Productions (ITV Network). His writings for the television include Taggart, Dalziel and Pascoe, Dr Crippen, The Brides in the Bath, A is for Acid, The Life and Crimes of William Palmer, Chiller, Call me Mister, Crown Court, Dramarama, Angels, The Jewel and the Magpie, The Kidnap of Mrs Muriel McKay, and To Kidnap a Princess. His theater writings include On the Game, The Private, Biker\'s Knoll, A Treat, Moonlight across the Heather, A Curse, Boys of the Empire, and Scouts in Bondage.
Chandler has been a recipient of the Writers\' Guild of Great Britain Award and Best Drama Serial Award from BAFTA.
