Cyrus Mistry is the brother of very well known novelist Rohinton Mistry. Cyrus Mistry started his bright literary career as a playwright, screenplay writer, freelance journalist and author of short stories. He has also garnered numerous awards and recognitions for his many plays and screenplays. In 2005, his debut novel was a finalist for the Crossword Award, one of India\'s most prestigious literary prize.
Cyrus Mistry published his first anthology of short stories in 1976. Since then, he has penned various plays, short film scripts and documentaries. He has also worked as a journalist, and served as a sub-editor with the Indian Express in the 1980s. He lives in Kodaikanal in South India. The Radiance of Ashes is his first novel.
