Tish Cohen is the author of very talked about novels like Town House, a finalist for the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize Best First Book Award, which is also being developed as a feature film. Cohen has also penned a successful preteen novel The Invisible Rules Of Zoe Lama, a bestseller in Canada and its sequel The One And Only Zoe Lama.

Born in Toronto, Cohen moved with her father to attend high school in California after her parents parted ways. It was then that she wrote a story about an overweight weasel called Otto who did everything in his might to impress the town beauty. However, he fell for a rather fleshy little weaselette. In fact, her English teacher loved the story so much that she said she should consider writing children\'s books. Cohen was thrilled, but thought that she could never do it.

After the birth of her sons she began writing and illustrating children\'s stories that she wanted to read out to her boys. She also by the way submitted them to the publishers. She also sold a few write ups to national newspapers, but never thought of penning a novel. She worked as an editor for a couple of years, and brought out a tabloid "The Tattler", which featured co-workers and superiors in scandals.

Then one fine day, when she particularly felt hatred for her work she barged into her office and began writing my first adult manuscript. And life’s not remained the same for Tish Cohen after that day.
