Stanley Martin Lieber is popularly known as Stan Lee and he has written under the pseudonym of Stan Lee. He is famous for his comic characters he created along with artists such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko that include Spider-Man, Hulk, Daredevil, Thor, and X-Men. He was born on December 28, 1922 in New York City. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School. He held several part-time jobs such as writing obituaries and press releases, office boy, and sold subscriptions to the New York Herald Tribune newspaper. After school, he joined the WPA Federal Theatre Project.

Stan Lee began to work with the Timely Comics’ pulp magazine department and comic-book publisher Martin Goodman\'s firm. His first piece of work was Captain America Foils the Traitor\'s Revenge. Other works such as Destroyer, Jack Frost, Father Time and others followed. He began to write across genres such as romance, humor, science fiction, Westerns, medieval adventure, horror, and suspense. He was inducted into the comic book industry\'s Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995.

Stan Lee married Joan Clayton Boocock and settled down in Woodmere, New York, on Long Island. They moved on to stay at 226 Richards Lane on Long Island. He has made cameo appearances in movies such as The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hulk, Spider-Man 2, Fantastic Four, X-Men: The Last Stand, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, and The Amazing Spider-Man. He has lectured at colleges across the States. He has written funny captions for Stan Lee Presents Election Daze: What Are They Really Saying? and the forward for Skyscraperman by skyscraper fire-safety advocate Dan Goodwin.
