Author, columnist, singer, story and screenplay writer for Hindi movies, these are the various creative hats that Shaiju Mathew has donned in the last 10 years. He has authored a book called Knocked Up. Shaiju was born and brought up in Pune. He did his MBA in HR from Pune University and presently resides in Bangalore for the last 8 years.
Shaiju has completed his schooling from St. Joseph’s Boys High School, Pune and was an active participant in all the cultural activities since childhood. After dabbling in various creative fields and after working for few big brands like HSBC and DELL in the middle management level, he finally settled down with writing as a career. Shaiju Mathew has also been a guest columnist and entertainment journalist for few entertainment magazines and online lifestyle magazines. He is presently working on two movies out of which one is an International project and another is the movie version of his debut book Knocked Up.
He is also working on couple of stories apart from the second part to his debut novel Knocked Up for which he intends to bring out three parts of the novel.
Writing comes naturally to Shaiju as he has been writing poems from childhood days. He would write for Newspaper in Education (NIE) and also went ahead and contributed a few short stories to the Chicken Soup series. Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns had a deep, everlasting impact on his writing. Apart from this he also enjoys reading Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Ruskin Bond and Mark Twain.
