Randolph Churchill was the son of former British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill and Clementine Churchill. Famous writer Mary Churchill is his sister. He studied at Eton College and Christ Church at Oxford. He served with Winston Churchill’s regiment, 4th Queen\'s Own Hussars. He also served in Yugoslavia. His political career did not take of like his father’s; however his writings received wide acclaim. He authored What I Said about the Press, The Rise and Fall of Sir Anthony Eden, Lord Derby: King of Lancashire, The Fight for the Tory Leadership, Winston S Churchill: Volume One: Youth, Winston S Churchill: Volume One Companion, Winston S Churchill: Volume Two: Young Statesman, and The Six Day War. He had included Sir Martin Gilbert to write his father’s biography.
