Nikhil Rajagopalan Biography and latest books by Nikhil Rajagopalan

Nikhil Rajagopalan is a 23-year-old blogger and a short story writer based in Chennai. Some of his work has appeared on e-zines like Wufniks. He has also won IIT-Roorkee\'s Blogomania contest two years in a row. A short story in Down The Road is his first short story that has appeared in print.

Nikhil has studied in Bhavan\'s Rajaji Vidyashram in Chennai, a CBSE school for all 12 years. After that he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from VIT University and a Master’s degree in Bioscience (Infection and Immunity) from the University of Leeds, UK.

He chooses to write short stories and flash fiction (a form in which the writer wraps up the entire story in less than 1000 words). He believes flash fiction is a brilliant and challenging form of writing as the author has to be terse in his writing,but simultaneously elaborate on the story, plot and the characters. He likes writing about the dark side of relationships as he believes that the world is not all sunshine and butterflies and that families can be torn apart by misunderstandings and lack of trust.

Apart from writing, Nikhil loves sketching, colouring with PhotoShop and learning new languages. He is right now learning Japanese by himself.
