Dhruba Hazarika is an Indian writer. His books include Luck and A Bowstring Winter. He is also the Founder of the North-East Writers Forum. He grew up in Shillong in Meghalaya. He completed his schooling at St. Edmund\'s College, Shillong. He studied Economics at North-Eastern Hill University. He currently serves in the Tourism Department of the Government of Assam as Joint Secretary and also with the Transport Department of the Government of Assam. He previously worked as director of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam and as district commissioner.
Dhruba Hazarika has been a recipient of the Katha Award for Creative Writing in English.
